Celebrate the holiday season by putting pen to paper -- it might seem old-fashioned -- but shows you care!  The inside of the cards are blank so you can include personalized messages for general seasonal greetings.   And use the sturdy storage box for keepsakes or post you receive in return.

This holiday card created by Louise Bourgeois is part of a much larger collection of holiday cards that started with gifts of Carl Zigrosser, the museum curator of Prints and Drawings from 1940 to 1963, with ongoing gifts in his name up to the present.

Born in Paris, Louise Bourgeois lived in New York from 1938 until her death in 2010.  She was deeply influenced by her early childhood in France and her relationship with her parents who owned a tapestry restoration business.  Primarily known as a sculptor, Bourgeois' oeuvre also included painting, drawing and printmaking.  Her creative process was a way of working through the emotional turmoil of her past.
