Celebrate William Morris (English, 1834–1896), and his wallpaper patterns, with this block puzzle featuring six of his designs. This set consists of twelve blocks which can be played with, stacked, and arranged for endless fun.

The works of art in this puzzle are made from 6 wallpaper pattern details by William Morris from a wallpaper sample book published before 1917. The designs included are: Granville, Double Boughs, Myrtle, Iris, Spring Thicket, and Orchard.

A principal founder of Britain's Arts and Crafts movement - which valued hand-craftsmanship over manufactured goods - William Morris was also a writer of poetry and fiction, a founder of the socialist movement in England, and a designer of typefaces, fabrics, and wallpapers.

    The prints on this puzzle are beautiful! I actually purchased this for my preschooler as a way to learn about patterns and order and as an intro to art, but I love it too!
