Description
Inspired by vintage fabric prints, these handwoven earrings are made with Japanese Miyuki glass beads. The upper portion is woven while the bottom is made from hand strung fringe which seamlessly continues the pattern above. The earring is hung from a 14K gold plated hook. These have a beautiful color contrast which really helps the floral pattern stand out. Emily Wancier is the artist and designer behind Mayana Designs. Originally from the US, Emily and her family have lived abroad in several countries including Ghana and Nicaragua. After moving to Medellin, Colombia with her three young children in 2020, she taught herself bead weaving to keep her hands occupied and explore her creative side. Her travels have inspired her love for artisan handmade products and the stories of the people behind them.
