Based in North Philadelphia, Paige Sato is the woman behind m.a.b.e.l -- 'makers always bring extra love'. Paige transforms damaged vintage quilts into contemporary garments and multi-use accessories. Initially, her goal was the end result—a fabulous coat, or a handy tote. Along the way, she's slowed the process to appreciate all the handwork and decisions that created these original and beautiful quilts. All quilts are pre-1950s vintage cutter quilts (no museum quality quilts were harmed in the making!). Quilts are machine washed and dried prior to cutting to ensure durability. We love this fully lined, zip-close sling bag, perfect for travel.
