The magnificent armored knight on a horse is one of The Philadelphia Museum of Art's world-class Armors & Armor collection highlights. This substantial and faithfully reproduced piece captures, with extraordinary detail, the beauty of the original.

Horse Armor of Duke Ulrich of Württemberg (1487-1550, ruled 1498 to 1519 and 1534 to 1550).  Made by the armorer Wilhelm von Worms the Elder, German (active Nuremberg), master in 1499, died 1538. Man's armor for use in the field c.1505: Made in Germany (Landshut) by Matthew Deutsch.
