Description
This ink is made from the prolific Japanese knotweed. It is found along the waterfronts, next to roadsides, and in many parks and wooded areas in the Philadelphia region and beyond. The beautiful pale pinks of this ink come from the leaves and stalks of Japanese knotweed collected on a hurried walk on the edge of the woods in northwest Philadelphia -- contemplating the origin of the word "invasive" from in - (meaning "in, inside") and vado ("to go, to rush, to walk"). Also use this ink, as a binder, a drop of Japanese knotweed honey!
Handcrafted botanical ink created by Ampersand Textile & Design for fine writing and drawing with dip pens and brushes. Contains Japanese knotweed leaves and stalks, water, gum arabic, alcohol, knotweed honey, and clove oil. Not suitable for fountain pens. Shake well before using.
