This luxurious botanical face elixir is a blend of natural plant-derived oils that mimics the natural oils of the skin, has moisturizing, smoothing and calming effects and a lovely lavender aroma. The elixir is a blend of organic Jojoba Oil, organic virgin Rosehip Oil, olive-derived Squalane, Vitamin E and our small batch Lavender essential oil, distilled on the farm. Packaged in 1 oz colbalt blue glass bottle with dropper.
Jojoba oil has been recorded for use as a skincare treatment as early as the 1700s, and studies have shown it to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. Known as a powerful emollient, Jojoba Oil softens, hydrates and protects the skin. Rosehip Oil is high in Vitamin C, which is known to be an antioxidant and protect the skin against damage, as well as having retinoids and carotenoids that promote the production of new skin cells. Squalane is the plant-derived version of Squalene, a constituent of the skin’s natural moisture barrier. It is a smoothing emollient that keeps skin hydrated, protects it from environmental stressors like pollution and sun damage, and has antioxidant properties. Lavender essential oil has a long history of therapeutic and cosmetic use, and the oil has disinfectant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and calming properties. It became famous for its skin healing properties in the early 1900s, when French chemist René-Maurice Gattefossé discovered its incredible healing effects on burns.
