Description

Our exclusive enamel pin celebrates Monet's Japanese garden, decorated with purple wisteria, weeping willows, bamboo and water lilies.

In 1893 Monet enlarged his gardens at Giverny by purchasing this land with a small stream and pond.  He designed the landscape himself based on Japanese prints he collected, and is full of gorgeous asymmetry and curves. Having created his garden, Monet went on to paint 12 paintings of his beloved bridge.  This version was painted in 1899.
