Declaration Ink/Oak Gall Ink by Ampersand Textile & Design
This formula for oak gall ink holds the same ingredients as the ink likely used on the Declaration of Independence and follows a recipe from A Booke of Secrets, a 16th century publication. This custom small batch of handcrafted drawing ink was made from oak galls collected over 3 years in a city of beloved trees, Philadelphia, and in a state of woods, Pennsylvania.
Summer 2022 limited edition Pennsylvania oak gall handcrafted ink is created by Ampersand Textile & Design for fine writing and drawing with dip pens and brushes. This small batch was made of oak galls, water, vinegar, gum arabic, ferrous sulfate and clove oil. Not suitable for fountain pens. Shake well before using.
