This stunning porcelain cup features a hand-etched drawing of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and its very special steps beautifully articulated by artist Nicole Aquillano.
Nicole took an unconventional path to become a studio potter. After pursuing a career in engineering, she left to follow her passion and earn her MFA. Since then, she has developed a successful ceramics line which she sells across the country. Nicole etches each image by hand into the porcelain clay and inlays a dark underglaze. The high temperature of the kiln blurs the drawing, much like a faded memory. Each piece is one-of-a-kind; mix and match images to create a uniquely personal narrative.
