Description

This sketchbook which reproduces Monet's Bend in the Epte River near Giverny is perfect for your own impressionist works or musings.  The notebook was created exclusively for the museum by mishmash in Portugal. The pages not only support multiple writing tools but the Smyth Sewn binding allows the book to open 180 degrees and lay flat for greater ease of use.

Poplar trees in full flower inspired this 1888 Monet painting.  Sparkling in the sunlight, the scene along the Epte River is fleeting and natural.  The muted colors contribute to the peacefulness of the scene in the very essence of impressionism.  From 1883, Monet lived in Giverny, where he purchased a house and began a vast landscaping project which included lily ponds.  in addition to the water lilies, Monet painted the trees along the bank of the Epte River in capturing the changes of light and seasons.
