Exclusively made for us by Philadelphia's Duross & Langel in celebration of Matisse in the 1930's, our Still Life bar captures the bold palette of the exhibition while the heady infusion of crisp bergamot oil creates a bright and uplifting bar sure to remind you of sunny days!
Duross & Langel hand cut bars begin as fruit and nut oils blended with NaOH (sodium hydroxide). The original recipes that inspired them belonged to Steve's grandmother. Over the years they've utilized modern technology to improve the bars to make them the most gentle vegan soaps. Their recipes are made by hand, cooked under enormous pressure and then clarified, and allowed to cure for months. Eventually the soap is ribboned and blended, heated and cooled so that it can cure once again in their hands. They micro-batch, add extracts and super fat, and then transform the recipe with eye popping color and heady aromatic oils. With a new, old recipe and a bit of artistic style, they present to you a creamy bar that will maintain your skin’s natural moisture levels.
