A Japanese tea ceremony worthy artisanally crafted dark silver ceramic tea bowl designed to enhance a smooth, frothy matcha consistency. A beautiful matcha bowl, or chawan, is one of the most important components of the Japanese tea ceremony. Handmade in the Youhen Ibushi style. This lovely piece features an ashy, primitive texture that requires a master’s hand. Each matcha bowl is produced in the region of Shiga, a center of ceramic industry that has been producing shigaraki ware pottery since 742 AD.
